Director Responsibilities

Alumni Relations Director

  1. Establish and maintain a strong relationship with HSBA alumni

  2. Coordinate events to maintain alumni unity and interest

  3. Run the Alumni Mentorship Program

  4. Inform alumni of scheduled upcoming HSBA events

  5. Oversee monthly alumni newsletter

  6. Create content for the alumni Instagram page


Banquet Director

  1. Organize the planning process for the end-of-the-semester banquet

  2. Identify theme and keynote speaker for event

  3. Schedule entertainment and facilities

  4. Publicize event on and off campus

  5. Seek corporate support and sponsorship



Community Relations Director:

  1. Develop and organize local and virtual community events

  2. Seek donations for community events

  3. Collaborate with Internal Affairs and ULSA

  4. Publicize both local and virtual community events

  5. Seek on-campus organizational support through ASI or LSU


Corporate Relations Director:

  1. Establish and maintain good relations with corporate/business professionals

  2. Organize professional events for HSBA members such as company tours and workshops

  3. Search for new contacts for HSBA

  4. Attend networking events to expand network for HSBA

  5. Plan and execute our annual networking event, Corporate Connections


Fundraising Director:

  1. Conduct and execute virtual giveaways or raffles to raise money for scholarships

  2. Create and promote HSBA attire and merchandise

  3. Coordinate and organize virtual Spring Break events

  4. Request donations for HSBA events and scholarships


Internal Affairs Director:

  1. Attend ABSOC meetings every other Thursday from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

  2. Network with other on-campus business organizations

  3. Relay information at officer and general meetings, and via e-mail

  4. Inform other organizations of scheduled HSBA events

  5. Coordinate social events and mixers with other organizations (collaborations)

  6. Complete Standard of Excellence and constantly post on HSBA’s LinkedIn page


Latino Student Union Representative:

  1. Attend LSU meetings every other Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

  2. Network with other on-campus Latinx organizations

  3. Relay information at officer and general meetings, and via e-mail

  4. Inform other organizations of scheduled HSBA events

  5. Coordinate social events and mixers with other organizations (collaborations)


 Marketing Director:

  1. Create flyers promoting all HSBA events and general meetings

  2. Publicize all HSBA sponsored events via social media

  3. Responsible for recording and editing Two-Minute Tuesday videos

  4. Be willing to learn editing programs

  5. Post general meeting flyers around the College of Business

  6. Take pictures and videos through social media during events

  7. Take high-quality pictures and have them accessible to everyone

  8. In charge of planning Week of Welcome


Membership Director:

  1. Oversee and coordinate the "Amigo" program

  2. Organize semi-annual “Amigo Mixer”

  3. Find creative ways to recruit and retain members

  4. Create activities and events for membership retention  

  5. Help improve member academia 

  6. Host two general meetings: Amigo Reveal and Members Day


PR Assistant

  1. Co-Manage weekly general meetings with President

  2. Assist in creating weekly presentations for general meetings

  3. Create meeting QR code’s & follow up with member responses

  4. Follow up / connect with Guest Speakers and create certificates as needed

  5. Create Press releases as needed and market HSBA virtually to students


Social Director:

  1. Plan and coordinate fun events where members can socialize and network while raising money for scholarships

  2. Publicize virtual events through social media

  3. Collaborate with Fundraising team to creative events to raise money for scholarships while retaining members


United Latino Students Association Representative:

  1. Attend ULSA meetings every other Sunday 12-2 p.m.

  2. Network with on and off campus organizations

  3. Relay information at officer and general meetings, and via e-mail

  4. Inform other organizations of scheduled HSBA events

  5. Collaborate on social, community, and professional events with other school organizations

  6. Complete the ULSA Standard of Excellence

  7. Maintain constant communication between HSBA and the other 13 Hispanic business chapters across California
