Fall 2025: Director Responsibilities

Alumni Relations Director

  • Establish and maintain a strong relationship with HSBA alumni

  • Reach out to alumni and inform them of scheduled upcoming HSBA events

  • Coordinate engaging events to maintain alumni unity and interest

  • Run the Alumni Mentorship Program

  • Seek opportunities for alumni sponsorships


Fundraising Director:

  • Plan creative fundraisers, including food sales and special events

  • Build partnerships with businesses, sponsors, and alumni to support fundraising efforts

  • Coordinate event planning and promotion at least two weeks ahead

  • Attend all meetings, maintain clear communication, and complete administrative responsibilities promptly

  • Engage professionally with all members and manage multiple projects with strong organization


Community Relations Director:

  • Develop, organize and plan local community events ahead of time

  • Promote attendance and participation to community events

  • Collaborate with Internal Affairs and ULSA

  • Seek on-campus organizational support through ASI or LSU


Corporate Relations Director:

  • Promote workshops through flyers, emails, and in-person outreach; work with faculty on extra credit opportunities

  • Prepare and print certificates of appreciation for guest speakers and presenters

  • Manage flyer design and distribution requests to meet event and marketing deadlines

  • Search for internships that align with academic career goals

  • Plan and organize bi-weekly corporate workshops for HSBA members

  • Coordinate professional corporate tours for paid members

  • Find new contacts and maintain relationships with alumni and past guest speakers


Internal Affairs Director:

  • Attend ABSOC meetings every other Thursday from 4:00-5:00 p.m

  • Attend LSU meetings every other Tuesday from 5:00-6:00 p.m

  • Network with other on-campus business and Latinx organizations

  • Relay information at officer and general meetings, and via e-mail

  • Inform other organizations of scheduled HSBA events

  • Coordinate social events and mixers with other organizations (collaborations)

  • Complete the Standard of Excellence and post on HSBA’s LinkedIn page


 Marketing Director:

  • Create flyers promoting all HSBA events and general meetings

  • Publicize all HSBA sponsored events via social media

  • Responsible for recording and editing Two-Minute Tuesday videos

  • Capture high quality pictures and video content at events via social media, making them accessible to all directors

  • Maintain engagement across all social platforms

  • Create and update weekly general meeting slides

  • In charge of planning Week of Welcome

  • Promote HSBA’s values: academic success, networking, and professionalism


Membership Director:

  • Oversee and coordinate the "Amigo" program

  • Organize semi-annual “Amigo Mixer” and promote it

  • Find creative ways to recruit and retain members

  • Create activities and events for membership retention

  • Help improve member academia

  • Host general meetings, including Amigo Reveal

  • Communicate regularly with members and ensure engagement on HSBA’s Discord


Social Director:

  • Lead the planning and promotion of social fundraisers to support scholarship initiatives

  • Ensure timely planning and logistics for all events, including securing venues, equipment, and promotional materials at least three weeks in advance

  • Organize social events to foster community and engagement among members

  • Coordinate with internal committees and external organizations to co-host collaborative events


United Latino Students Association Representative:

  • Attend ULSA meetings every other Sunday 12:00 - 2:00 P.M

  • Network with on and off campus organizations

  • Relay information to officer, general meetings, and via e-mail

  • Inform other organizations of scheduled HSBA events

  • Collaborate on social, community, and professional events with other school organizations

  • Complete the ULSA Standard of Excellence

  • Maintain constant communication between HSBA and the other 8 Hispanic business chapters across California
