On February 24th, I had the opportunity to plan and execute another community event with the Hispanic Students Business. I want to thank my Co-Director Janetth Sanchez for helping me organize this wonderful event. Together we were able to bring over 15 members and directors, not all pictured here, into the less fortunate and stray animals of MacArthur Park, Los Angeles.

I also want to thank alumni Michael Castillo and Ernesto Palacios for helping us out with the event.

Halfway during the event we got to enjoy a fun break by dancing "El Caballo Dorado". A popular Latin American song, typically played at parties or festivities. I think this song is what symbolizes the word "community.” As your age and background does not matter; this song is easy enough for anyone to learn and everyone's participating is encouraged.

Pictured Here: Alumni director Janet Carranza, and member Edith Carranza, help out at the arts and crafts section. A critical component of the event, as this allows adults to get free clothing and food while the children play.

I want to thank HSBA for allowing me to arrange an event where I give back to my community. It is through events like this where we are able to make a true impact on those around us.
